The Blue Heron

This was my second attempt to take photos of birds at Huntley Meadows Park in Fairfax, Virginia. I am a newbie in bird photography. I am certainly trying, but I enjoy the most watching the birds in their element.

I had not noticed the Blue Heron until someone pointed it out to me. Specially because the bird was doing a sort of angel position, this person said that this position, apparently, is not very common to see them do it. I focused my lens on the bird and shot a series of photos until it took flight. Still, I followed the bird. He flew to a branch and stayed there for a while.

The series of shots below.
